Issues with Frankenstein GPUs: Black Screen After Driver Installation and Possible Solutions

Frankenstein video cards are modified GPUs, and often one card is very different from another. In general, different manufacturers use different firmware, which can be a headache for the end user. They may not work properly on certain platforms, and users may experience a black screen after installing the drivers. This is often caused by a mismatch between the motherboard's BIOS and the video card's firmware.
Solution via bios settings
- Changing the settings from UEFI/LEGACY to UEFI ONLY or vice versa LEGACY ONLY
- Set "Above 4g decoding" ON
- Enable "CPU HIGH PRECISION TIMER"
If you do not have the "Above 4g decoding" option, you must follow these instructions.
On some platforms, for example LGA 1700, the same video card can work on motherboards from one manufacturer and not work on motherboards from another manufacturer.
Solution via second slot pci-e
As funny as it may seem, if all the above methods did not help, this method works in 90% of cases. Move your video card to another PCI-E slot (if you have one)
Solution via firmware
Try to find a compatible firmware for your card on techpowerup.com and flash the card. It should be noted right away that not all firmware are compatible with each other. That is, the firmware from one 3060m may not be compatible with another 3060m card.
It is not recommended to flash the card. Personally i had to restore the card several times after unsuccessful experiments. If you still decide to take this step, be sure to save the original version of the firmware.
